Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of Paris

I stayed at the Hotel Varenne for 4 nights in May 2010 and found it to be charming and well-run.  It’s location on a small street steps from the Seine and a couple of metro stops is fantastic.  The hotel has a cute courtyard for breakfast - very relaxing.  The staff is attentive and helpful with making arrangements and the rooms are quiet - perfect for a vacation and sleeping.
