Quiet Oasis

I stayed at Hotel Varenne for only 1 night in July 2010, but it was phenomenal. My boyfriend and I were staying at a hostel in Paris, and decided to splurge on one night in a nice hotel - Hotel Varenne was it. The room was much larger than I anticipated (lots of space to spread out), and it had all the nice little touches I was missing in the hostel - e.g. a beautiful washroom with a nice tub, bathrobes, lots of fresh, clean bath towels, etc. The staff was extremely helpful (despite my broken French - this was one of the only places in Paris where the staff actually tried to foster and encourage my French, and not immediately switch to English), and our breakfast on the patio was perfect before we headed off in the morning.
